The American Legion: Founded in 1919, The American Legion is the nation's largest and most influential veterans service organization. It is made up of nearly 2 million wartime veterans who focus activities on the organization's Four Pillars: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Defense, Americanism, and Children & Youth.
The Sons of The American Legion: Founded in 1932, the Sons honor the service and sacrifice of Legionnaires. There are more than 372,000 members in the United States. Members include males whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion membership.
The American Legion Auxiliary: The Auxiliary’s membership is more than 600,000 strong. With more than 8,000 units in communities, members are fiercely dedicated to serving, helping, and meeting the needs of veterans, the military, and their families.
To join Eugene Grafius Post 104 American Legion: Fill out our Membership Application form (download), fill it out and bring it with your DD-214, which you obtained at time of discharge, to the Post during operating hours. Or, you can join online by going to the National American Legion Membership Registration page. Note: if applying online, please be sure to identify PA-0104 as your Post number - this will associate your application with Eugene Grafius Post 104 in Montoursville.

Did you sign up online and were assigned Post 0945? If so, you took the first step to connect to the most powerful veteran service organization in America. By taking the next step and transferring to Post 104, you are connecting with other American Legion members in the Montoursville area and this is the true strength of our organization. Please note that your Continuous Years WILL NOT be affected by transferring to Post 104 from Post 0945, or any other Post. The transfer from one post to another is a privilege granted to any paid-up Legionnaire with the approval of the post to which the member desires to transfer. In order to transfer, you can download a MEMBER DATA FORM and bring it to our Post at 1312 Broad Street, Montoursville.
Eugene Grafius Post 104 American Legion exists to support fellow veterans, their families, and our community. We invite you to make Post 104 your American Legion home here in Montoursville.
We support youth activities, returning service members, veterans in need, and the families of our men and women currently serving our country. We are a social network, involved in the community, and ambassadors and advocates for all veterans.
Like all families, we see all levels of involvement from our members. Some attend all our functions while others pick and choose their involvement because of commitments to other activities or personal family responsibilities. Some of our members can only commit to paying their annual dues. Regardless of your level of activity, together, our members create the strength necessary to further our commitment in supporting our community and our fellow service members.
